On Saturday, February 21, the March for Justice will take place – a gathering dedicated to protecting the independence of the judiciary and the professional responsibility of judicial office holders.
The assembly will begin at 2:00 PM in front of the General Staff building, and is scheduled to last until 5:00 PM.
March route
Participants will walk along the following route:
General Staff – Nemanjina Street – Slavija Square – Bulevar Oslobođenja – Ustanička 29 (Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime)
The march symbolically connects key points of the justice system and highlights the importance of its independence and accountability to citizens.
Speakers
Representatives of the judiciary and the legal profession will address the gathering:
- Radovan Lazić, Appellate Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad
- Aleksandar Jovanović, Basic Court in Novi Pazar
- Vladimir Prijić, President of the Belgrade Bar Association
- Milimir Lukić, Court of Appeal in Belgrade
Organizers
The march is organized by:
Defense of the Profession, Trade Union of the Judiciary, Prosecutors Association of Serbia and CEPRIS, with the support of the Serbian Bar Association and the Belgrade Bar Association.
The aim of the gathering is to highlight the importance of the rule of law, professional accountability, and the preservation of judicial independence as the foundation of a democratic society.
