In July 2025, the Prosecutor Association of Serbia (PAS) became a Full Member of the European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment (ENPE), as confirmed by the ENPE Board’s decision and an official welcome letter addressed to Lidija Komlen Nikolić, President of the UTS Presidency.

In the message it was confirmed that the Board unanimously approved the application of the Prosecutors Association of Serbia (PAS/UTS) to join ENPE as a Full Member.

ENPE (European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment) is registered in Brussels as an International Non-Profit Association, incorporated on 1 September 2016. The network was established following calls from multiple EU presidencies and international environmental compliance forums, with the purpose of strengthening cooperation among environmental prosecutors across Europe. Its mission is to promote the enforcement of environmental criminal law by supporting the operational work of specialised prosecutors.

Today, ENPE comprises 70 members and observers from 38 countries, including national prosecution authorities, environmental enforcement bodies and specialised organisations involved in environmental crime prosecution. The association is governed by a Board headed by ENPE President Rob de Rijck (Netherlands), and operates through several thematic Working Groups focusing on areas such as waste crime, pollution, wildlife crime and the prosecution of legal persons.

The full membership of the Association of Public Prosecutors of Serbia marks an important step in enhancing international cooperation, improving prosecutorial practice in the field of environmental criminal law, and providing opportunities for participation in joint European initiatives, workshops and professional exchanges.
